Red Wine

As I lay bare, relax in my soft vast bed,
Drinking rich wine from a crystal goblet,
My thought wander to a bewitched pond,
Where enchanted mermaids swim along,

Soft voices and laughter could be heard,
Their dark hair bathed in crystal shower,
Bare shoulders shimmered in the night,
Red blood lips quivered against the light,

I stepped into the warm water of the pond,
My body shone against the ray of the moon,
While I swam unnoticed in their direction,
Slippery green scales rubbed against my chest,

She emerged right in front of me smiling,
Blue eyes looked through me deep as a well,
I reached out and caressed her rosy cheek,
Never wanting to let go from this temptation,

Drops of wine drip down on clean soft sheet,
It is but a fresh red stain under the dim light,
Too much a contrast to the white linen cover,
It tastes more of sensual lips than of red wine.
