The "J" operating system is primarily intended for hobbiest programmers. I've attempted to lower the bar, so amateurs can contribute. I hope to recreate the dynamic environment that used to exist when the Commodore 64 was around and everyone was creating odd-ball software. Also Researchers--I'm sure many lab researchers still use DOS because they have to interact with hardware, which is difficult with Windows.

This NT service instantiates any out-of-process server. This allows you to make any event driven out-of-process server, such as a Visual Basic ActiveX EXE, behave like an NT Service. By changing its registry settings, you can specify which server you want to start, how many instances to start, if and when to release it and start it up again.
